Safety
Pregnancy massage is suitable from the second trimester onward. If you have any medical conditions, high-risk pregnancy factors, or concerns, it is important to let us know before treatment.
When can you have a treatment after birth?
After a Vaginal Birth:
You can usually have a massage as soon as you feel comfortable, even within the first few days postpartum, as long as you have no concerns post-birth.
Choose gentle techniques at first (light pressure, relaxation-focused rather than deep tissue as your body can be sensitive).
After a C-Section:
A C-section is major abdominal surgery, so the timing is a little different.
You should avoid abdominal massage for at least 6–8 weeks, until your healthcare provider clears you.
Light, non-abdominal massage, e.g., shoulders, back, legs, is typically okay after 2–3 weeks, as long as:
– you’re comfortable lying down,
– your incision is healing well,
– there’s no sign of infection.
– Scar massage should only start after the incision is fully healed, usually 8–12 weeks.
When to Wait or Be Cautious:
Hold off on massage if you have:
– fever or infection
– heavy bleeding
– severe pain
– blood-clotting issues
– postpartum complications (pre-eclampsia, high blood pressure, etc.)
Always let the therapist know you are postpartum so they can adjust positioning and pressure.
🌸 Pre-Natal Massage
Pre-natal massage is designed to support expectant mothers throughout pregnancy, helping the body and mind adjust to the physical and emotional changes of each trimester. This calming and tailored treatment focuses on easing muscular tension, improving circulation, and promoting overall comfort. Techniques are adapted to ensure safe positioning and pregnancy-appropriate care, addressing common concerns such as back pain, hip discomfort, and swelling in the legs and feet.
This massage offers a supportive space for mothers-to-be to find relief, restore comfort, and reconnect with themselves during the journey of pregnancy.
🌼 Post-Natal Massage
Post-natal massage is designed to support mothers in their recovery after childbirth, helping the body and mind adjust to new demands. This gentle yet effective treatment focuses on easing muscular tension, restoring balance, and promoting overall wellbeing. Techniques are tailored to address common post-partum concerns such as back and shoulder strain from feeding, abdominal and pelvic recovery, and fatigue from disrupted sleep.
This massage offers a restorative space for mothers to reconnect with their bodies, replenish energy, and embrace self-care during the post-partum journey.

“I’ve been to Heather for several pregnancy massages and can honestly say they are hands down the best massages I’ve ever had. She truly listens and understands your main pain points, ensuring all areas are worked properly and effectively alleviating pain.
Walking out feeling genuinely pain-free while heavily pregnant is worth every penny. Each session leaves me feeling lighter, more comfortable, and able to move with ease — something I didn’t think was possible at this stage of pregnancy.
I honestly can’t recommend Heather enough — she’s a miracle worker.”
